SALARY :

Grade 1: R949 146 per annum, (all-inclusive package)
Grade 2: R1 082 988 per annum, (all-inclusive package)

REQUIREMENTS :

Qualification: Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA
as Medical practitioner. A Valid Driver’s License. Registration: Registration with
the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner.

 

Experience – :

Grade 1: None after registration as Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA in respect of South African
Qualified employees, One Year relevant experience after registration as
Medical Practitioner with a recognised foreign Health Professional Council in
respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform
Community Service, as required in South Africa.

 

Grade 2: Minimum of five (5) years appropriate experience as Medical Practitioner after registration with the
HPCSA as Medical Practitioner in respect of South African qualified
employees. Minimum of six (6) years relevant experience after registration as
Medical Practitioner with a recognised foreign Health Professional Council in
respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform
Community Service, as required in South Africa.

 

Grade 3: Minimum of ten (10) years appropriate experience as Medical Practitioner after registration with the
HPCSA as Medical Practitioner in respect of South African qualified
employees. Minimum of eleven (11) years relevant experience after
registration as Medical Practitioner with a recognised foreign Health
Professional Council in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is
not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa.

 

DUTIES :

 

Provide support to the Medical Specialist and Head of Division in rendering a
sound Forensic Medical Service by active participation in the routine execution
of clinical duties in the department with support to the regional stakeholders.
Performance of autopsies, evisceration, dissection and administrative matters
as it pertains to the unit. Participate in the identification process of unknown
victims, inclusive of but not limited to relevant consultation processes. Ensure
preservation and disposal of autopsy specimen and other collected evidence
during and after dissection. Provide expert opinion where required.

ASSISTANT MANAGER NURSING (PRIMARY HEALTH CARE) REFERENCE NO: NCDOH 185/2024 (X1 POST)

SALARY : R715 977 per annum

CENTRE : Kamiesberg Sub-District, Namakwa District

REQUIREMENTS :

Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent
qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse. A
post-basic nursing qualification, with a duration of at least 1 year, accredited
with the SANC in Primary Health Care. Registration with the SANC as
Professional Nurse. A post-basic nursing qualification, with a duration of at
least 1 year, accredited with the SANC in one of the specialities: Clinical
Nursing Science, Health Assessment and Treatment (PHC). Computer skills in
basic programmes (Microsoft Office). Valid Driver’s Licence is an inherent
requirement for health programmes co-ordination and management.

Experience:

Grade 1: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable
experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC
in General Nursing. At least 6 years of the period referred to above must be
appropriate/ recognisable experience in the Primary Health Care specialty after
obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, Health
Assessment and Treatment (Primary Health Care). Knowledge of the District
Health System. Knowledge and experience in Health Programmes i.e. HIV, TB
MCWH/PMTCT. Knowledge of District Health Services and Health Information
Systems. At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/
recognisable experience at management level. The candidate must be willing
to travel.

DUTIES :

Provide stewardship for the implementation of the PHC re-engineering
activities in the health area. Manage and monitor proper utilization of Human
and Financial Resources. Oversee the implementation of quality improvement
activities at Primary Health Care level. Provide mentorship and support to all
primary health care facilities in the health area. Ensure an effective information
management and Monitoring and Evaluation system for primary health care.

REQUIREMENTS :

Qualifications and Competencies: Degree / Diploma in Nursing OR related
medical field. Registration with the Statutory Council (Health). Experience in
medical equipment or clinical engineering related to the functioning of medical
equipment, the application of health technology and the interface between
medical equipment and patients, including outputs & measurement. Minimum
Five (5) years post qualification experience. A valid drivers’ license.

Inherent requirements of the job: Computer literacy including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Virtual meeting platforms literacy. The successful applicant must be prepared to travel extensively throughout the province and work longer hours.

Main Role: To manage Health technology services projects (new commissioning) and upgrading in support.

Knowledge, Skills, Training and Competencies Required: Manage health technology services projects (new commissioning) and upgrade of services per level of care (ideal hospital & ideal clinic framework). Background in service delivery, turn-around and change management strategy. Good communication, report writing, facilitation, coordination and analytical skills. Interpret existing/customize functional and technical norms and standards.

 

Ability to direct inputs and provide guidance for the development of health technology systems, functional clinical norms and standards which include space across the various levels of health care. Ability to understand how to extract and interpret information from related information systems, indicators & service plan and how that links with health technology. Ability to understand how to prepare reports, submissions and presentations.

The ideal candidate must have: the ability to guide and operate within all
applicable legislation, policies, frameworks and instruction notes.

Key Performance Areas: Conduct planning & costing for health technology and
related enablers. Interpret and apply approved norms of and standards per
level of care. Supervise, monitor and manage procurement plans, in sourcing
health technology required for infrastructure projects and existing health
facilities. Prepare commissioning plans for installation of medical equipment.
Manage commissioning of medical equipment and enabling items ensuring
functional clinical areas. Manage handover of new installations and training.

Ensure ongoing training in the use and care of medical equipment. Assess
existing medical equipment for replacement & condemnation. Participate in the
peer review process at appropriate project stages. Load project documents and
update information on the data management system together with New Z83 form. Undertake research. Manage human, physical and financial resources.
